The 2027 Toyota GR86 gets a short list of cabin updates, and each one bears on a seat cover buyer. The GR86 Premium gains a Cockpit Red interior option with red leather accents on the bolsters. A black interior is also offered, the base GR86 has GR-embossed fabric seats, and the GR86 Premium has two-stage heated sport seats.

2027 Toyota GR86 and GR86 Premium Seats: Fabric, Ultrasuede and Leather
The base GR86 has six-way adjustable black GR-embossed fabric seats with sport fabric side bolsters. The GR86 Premium moves to Ultrasuede with leather, in black or in Cockpit Red. Toyota lists two-stage heated sport seats with leather-trimmed bolsters and Ultrasuede inserts for the GR86 Premium, with a 6-way adjustable driver's seat and a 4-way adjustable front passenger seat. Toyota's description of the base GR86 seats does not mention heating.
A seat cover sits between you and a heater, so it can change how quickly warmth reaches you, and our perforated eco-leather is designed to keep that difference small, so test both heat stages after installation. Check your window sticker for the equipment on your car, and note whether your seats are fabric or Ultrasuede and leather before you clean or fit anything, and follow your owner's manual for cleaning that surface. A Performance Package with Brembo brakes and SACHS dampers is available on both grades, but it does not change the seats.
Will Seat Covers Hide the 2027 Toyota GR86's Cockpit Red or Black Interior?
If you ordered the Cockpit Red interior, the red bolster leather is what a full cover hides. That is a fair reason to skip covers or to choose a Black & Red set that repeats the red, and the pairing is our team's suggestion, not Toyota's. A GR86 Premium with the black interior leaves more room for any color. On the base GR86, a cover takes the place of the GR-embossed fabric, so the question is whether you want that embossing visible. Our roundup of top seat cover trends and our guide to custom color-matched seat covers can help you decide.
Which 2027 Toyota GR86 Interior Works Best If You Plan to Fit Seat Covers?
One point deserves attention. If you intend to fit covers soon after delivery, the seat color you order matters less than the parts a cover does not hide. The Cockpit Red interior also brings red door accents and red floor mats, and those stay visible whatever you put on the seats. Choose Cockpit Red if you want a red cabin overall. Choose the black interior if you would rather pick the seat color yourself, then add a set from our range.
